RISE AND SHINE

Every day is your day
To do something just for you
And that’s not selfish, either,
Let’s consider what you do:
You’re different from all others
And that was no mistake
The world needs the uniqueness
That’s expressed in ways you take.
The difference that comes through you
Like a light that’s always on...
Is the stream of inspiration
Of your own, that’s never gone
For no one else can stop it;
The power lies with you
To “see the light” and follow it
Each day, your whole life through.
Daily in the sky above
Arrives the shining sun
Inviting all to rise and take
Their place in all the fun
The fun is in the doing
Making plans and dreaming dreams
And weaving them together
While imagination teems...
This will lead you to the work
You’ll love to do the best;
To live to work, not work to live
Is when you’ll know you’re blessed.
You’ll grow, you know, just as a seed
Produces of its’ kind
By following the lead that’s drawn
Before you - in your mind.

FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE
FAITH...HOPE...AND LOVE,
“Three charms” for your arm
But each is much more
Than a mere “bracelet charm”-
They are THREE TREASURES
More PRICELESS than GOLD,
For if you posses them
You’ve riches untold-
For with FAITH to believe
What your eyes cannot see,
And HOPE to look forward
To new joy yet to be,
And LOVE to transform
The most commonplace
Into beauty and kindness
And goodness and grace.
There’s NOTHING too MUCH
To accomplish or do,
For with FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE
To carry you through,
Your life will be happy
And full and complete
For with FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE
The “BITTER” turns “SWEET”-
For all earthly joys
And heaven’s joys, too,
Belong to God’s children
Who are FAITHFUL and TRUE.
