Where Do You Stand? Jesus said “if you are not for me, then you are against me.” and during His ministry He lamented over Jerusalem concerning the hardness of their heart
Matthew 23:37-39 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen
gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. “See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see me no more till you say ‘Blessed is he
who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
You might be thinking that Jesus was speaking of a condition that existed 2000 years ago and beyond, but His statement is just as real today as it was then. And this not only of Jerusalem and
Israel, but the whole world... He came to save the world. The world has not changed and God’s prophets and messengers are being persecuted everywhere. Some who do not want to
receive His message simply ignore it and turn away, but more and more we see resistance to His word, even to the point of death. The big question then is, where do you stand? Do you
know that if you are not a believer in Jesus the Christ, He is speaking to you right now? How will you react? Indifferent? Hatefully resistant? Or maybe something deep inside you has been touched in a
way that you do not quite understand. Not at this time alone as you read this, but many times before as Jesus has called you to Him and now you want to know more. There is life in
Christ; a new and dynamically different life in this present age and a blissfully eternal life in the age to come. The message of Christ’s salvation is here for you now, and it is real, you only
need to ask Him to reveal it to you. The following chapter in Matthew, (24) Jesus speaks of conditions in this world soon to come. A time of terrible and frightening events that will
engulf the entire world as presented in the book of Revelation. A time that you do not want to be here to witness.
Your eternal destiny is not something to be approached with casual indifference. You can be assured of your place in the life to come through a simple prayer asking Christ
to be Lord of your life. Do that, and then write us. We will be glad to send you some follow-up material.
It is a fearful thing
to fall into the hands of the living God. Heb. 10:31
