Genesis - Book of Beginnings

Genesis Chapter 2

 2:2  And by the seventh day God completed His work which He had done;
     Completed His work: The work of creation is completed; The work of redemption begins.

 2:4  This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made earth and heaven.
     The day: Not just one day, but in a broader sense.

 2:7  Then the Lord God formed man of the dust from the ground;
     Dust from the ground; Every atom in man can be found in the ground.

 2:8:  And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden;
     Toward the east: Adam was formed from the ground west of where Eden is believed to have been located; Possibly, present day Israel.

Genesis Chapter 3
   The Predicament of Man
 3:1  Now the serpent was more crafty than beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said
     Serpent: “The shining one” “glorious in “appearance” “enchanter” “perfect in beauty” “perfect in wisdom” It is not known what the serpent might have looked like before the curse, but was certainly not as we see the       serpent today as a snake.
     Beast: Not really a beast as we might think of one, but in the sense of “a living being.”
     God said: The The true subversive tatics of Satan; Casting doubt on the Word of God.

 3:3  The fruit of tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, “You shall not eat from it or touch it, lest you die.”
     Touch it: Another result of coming under the influence of the evil one; Adding to the Word which God has spoken.

 3:4  “You surely shall not die!”  3:5  “You will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Satan, the occult and the secular humanists always offer this promise, much to the demise of those deceived.

 3:6  When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desireable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
     Rationalization: A perfect example of the consequences brought by the lust of the eye, the lust of the heart and the pride of life that leads to destruction.
     He ate: Adam was not deceived, but perfect love caused him to join his wife in sin.
