RISE AND SHINE

Every day is your day
To do something just for you
And that’s not selfish, either,
Let’s consider what you do:
You’re different from all others
And that was no mistake
The world needs the uniqueness
That’s expressed in ways you take.
The difference that comes through you
Like a light that’s always on...
Is the stream of inspiration
Of your own, that’s never gone
For no one else can stop it;
The power lies with you
To “see the light” and follow it
Each day, your whole life through.
Daily in the sky above
Arrives the shining sun
Inviting all to rise and take
Their place in all the fun
The fun is in the doing
Making plans and dreaming dreams
And weaving them together
While imagination teems...
This will lead you to the work
You’ll love to do the best;
To live to work, not work to live
Is when you’ll know you’re blessed.
You’ll grow, you know, just as a seed
Produces of its’ kind
By following the lead that’s drawn
Before you - in your mind.
